Date: c. 1950s

Origin: Poland

Fabric: Cotton

Brand: Custom made

A corselet in a heavy brocade cotton coutil. The centre front is quilted for additional support, with elastic inserts at the leg line to allow for some flexibility of movement. Underwired cups have an interior panel of pleated rayon satin for additional padding and support.

The garment fastens with lacing at the centre back and hooks and eyes at the side seam. It is structured with a mix of flat and spiral steel boning. The garment originally had 6 suspender straps, but these were later removed.
