The Underpinnings Museum is currently run by volunteers, so donations and sponsorships are invaluable in funding overhead costs and expanding the collections. Sponsorships give businesses an excellent opportunity to expand their customer bases and have their products recorded for posterity. We currently offer two types of sponsorship:
Object sponsorship: Lingerie brands can choose to submit an object to the museum collections. The fee is individually calculated according to the brand size, with proceeds going the cost of photography, research and museum running costs. Objects are subject to vetting by the museum team and must carry certain merits to be considered. The object will be shown on the website for a minimum of 1 year, but may be kept in the collections longer or brought back for specific exhibitions at the discretion of the museum. Brands can either donate the object or loan it at their own cost.
Exhibition sponsorship: Businesses can either choose to have the museum team carefully curate an exhibition around their own history and products, or to simply sponsor an upcoming exhibition in the museum calendar. Fees for both of these packages are variable and we are happy to discuss suitable options for your brand.
