A pair of bridal garters, hand sewn from cream silk and later hand painted with a blue floral design. The garters appear to be made entirely from silk ribbon and fasten with hook and eye fastening with no elastication. The garters have a very small circumference and were likely either intended as a salesman sample or for a doll, rather than to be actually worn by a grown woman. These garters were also accompanied by a badge, made with the same silk and painted with the script ‘Don’t Kiss Me’, with a simple pin fastening at the rear on a card backing.
