A dressing gown made of a crisp silk tafetta and lined with silk habotai, with hand stitched machine lace appliqué embellishing the collar and cuffs. The gown fastens with poppers at the waist and a sumptuous silk tie. There are two pockets at the side seams of the gown, which are both silk lined. The main body of the gown was stitched with a machine, but much of the interior is hand finished with couture stitch techniques.
The eponymous Juel Park brand was founded in 1929, when the founder was just 22. She became renowned for her exquisite couture lingerie, with a wealth of celebrity and high society clients. The label continues to create luxury lingerie in California to this day.
