A lingerie set designed in collaboration between Coco De Mer and The Victoria & Albert Museum. The intricate golden thread embroidery was inspired by 1760s English glass and gilt scent bottles, with the motifs adapted into an embroidery design of flora and fauna. The embroidery is bared with a contrasting deep blue stretch silk satin. Alongside this bandeau style bralet and high waisted thong, the original ‘Golden Heron’ range also included a slip, bodysuit, underwired bra and low rise briefs.
The initial collaboration also included ranges entitled ‘Botanical Beauty’, ‘Midnight Vine’ and ‘Signature’, drawing aesthetic inspiration from key items within the museum’s collection, such as William Morris furnishing fabrics, 17th century textile designs, and traditional Korean lacquerware. A second collaboration inspired by the Art Deco movement was released in 2019.
Coco De Mer is an erotic London-based boutique founded in 2001 by Samantha Roddick. Alongside products from other luxury brands, Coco De Mer has released its own ranges of erotic lingerie and other erotic products. The brand and boutique was acquired in 2011 by adult online retailer Lovehoney, and later sold to its managing director Lucy Litwack in 2017. Coco De Mer has collaborated on lingerie collections with several world renowned brands and institutions, including Playboy and The Victoria & Albert Museum.
