A bralet and thong set created with couture sewing techniques. The lingerie is crafted from a degradé silk chiffon lined with fine tulle and embellished with intricately stitched French chantilly lace appliqué. Silk channels at the hips encase small lengths of elastic. The garments feature extensive hand finishing, with near invisible stitching to enclose may of the bindings and straps. This design is named after the Antelope Canyon in Arizona, USA, for the warm shifting tones of the degradé silk chiffon.

This ensemble was created as part of an unusual project: advent calendars comprising entirely of 25 pieces of lingerie, gifted between lingerie brands Merle Noir Lingerie and Karolina Laskowska.

Merle Noir Lingerie brand was founded in 2016 by designer Merel Zwart, in the Netherlands. The label’s focus is on bespoke couture creations for individual clients, crafted from fine silks and French laces. Designer Merel Zwart began her studies in tailoring and couture at the age of 12, starting with a Bachelors degree at just age 15 from the Artemis Fashion Academy in The Netherlands. She then went on to study Couture at the Master Tailor Institute, later specialising as a pattern maker with Müller & Sohn in Germany. Before founding her own label, Zwart worked as a couturier with Viktor & Rolf and The Dutch National Ballet.
