Cover Girl Originals was a catalogue created by American photographer Sam Menning which sold “alluring lingerie,” “thrilling bikinis,” and “pin-up costumes.”. The designs within this mail order catalogue were intended as workwear for models and dancers, rather than as everyday underwear. The range of products include risqué cuts and styles such as G-strings, cupless bras and nipple tassels. The designs are modelled within the catalogue by numerous renowned pin ups, most notably including Bettie Page.
