The first ‘String’ collection by Made By Niki was released in 2011, and quickly became a brand signature. The designs are centered around acetate fringe that drapes around the body, selectively revealing and concealing the skin beneath and creating a uniquely tactile wearing experience. The ‘Chalice’ colourway of this bodysuit shape uses dip dyed red/black fringe with stretch grosgrain elastic, gold toned components and tassel embellishment. The cups are lined with a beige nylon lycra for modesty and a built in knicker is constructed from black polyester satin.
Made By Niki was founded in 2006 by designer Niki McMorrough after studying Contour Fashion at De Montfort University. The brand won numerous industry awards and became renowned for its innovative approach to lingerie design. The label was retired in 2016 for McMorrough to pursue other career opportunities.
