An intricate corset corset cover made of cotton. A base of fine cotton bobbinet tulle has been embellished with appliquéd organic, cloudlike shapes of fine cotton lawn. Filet lace trims the neckline and shoulder straps. There are two rows of pale blue silk ribbon slot at the neckline, with bows at the centre front. An opening at the left side of the waist is fastened with a cotton tie drawstring, which also allows the garment to be cinched to fit. The relatively loose cut of this corset cover suggests it is from the transitional period between the fitted 1910s and loose 1920s fashions.
